Amir A. Isaiah, J.D., LL.M
Director of Receivership & Fiduciary Services
Amir Isaiah joined Kaufman, Rossin & Co. in 2009 and serves as the Firm's director of receivership and fiduciary services. Amir has served as a court appointed receiver, or agent thereof, and counsel for receiver, in a variety of matters. Founder of the Receivership Law Firm, he has been appointed as receiver by ten circuit court judges over the past two years. Recently, Amir was appointed receiver for an international multi-million dollar Ponzi/pyramid scheme based out of South Florida, where he was charged with identifying and retrieving assets of the receivership estate, and effectuating an equitable distribution for over 1,800 defrauded investors.
Amir has extensive experience participating in federal and state government investigations by the FBI, CFTC, FDIC, FTC, IRS, NFA, SEC, U.S. Dept. of Justice, U.S. Attorney, Attorney General of Florida & the Florida Division of Financial Services and is frequently called upon to assist in fraud investigations of domestic and international businesses in various industries. He has provided forensic accounting, fraud investigation and consulting services for law firms, private companies, and government agencies in the operation, liquidation and/or investigation of diverse businesses, operational reviews, due diligence, business consulting, business turnarounds, real estate development, taxation, financial advisory in bankruptcy and insolvency related matters. Amir has consulted on numerous business interruption insurance claims, tax matters, estate planning, and real estate transactions.
Recently, Amir was designated as a member of the Daily Business Review’s Board of Contributors, which featured his commentary highlighting the pros and cons of the recently enacted 2011 Florida Community Association Laws ("New Statute Makes Condo Documents More Amendable", Daily Business Review (June 29, 2011)). In addition, Amir is a co-author of The Receivership Manual for the Florida Judiciary (Revised 2009) and author of "The Blanket Receivership – A Legal Means To Keep Community Associations Afloat", Condo Management Magazine (February 2010).
